The Island Gallery, Bridewell Street, Bristol BS1 2LE

Felt is a natural material that has been made by hand for thousands of years, and used for everything from cloaks to coffins. Join artist and maker Yuli Somme for an introduction to wet felting with natural, undyed wool. No experience is required to make little vessels that can be used for a range of practical or ceremonial purposes. There will also be the opportunity to try needle felting, and to hear about other forms of this versatile, tactile craft.

Yuli works with wool in Devon, making beautiful hand-made felt coffins as well as decorative items.

Spaces are limited to 15 people; tickets are £15 each.
